What we did

This project provides for the improvement of SR 542 in Whatcom County, MP 31.93 - MP 32.04, Hedrick Creek Fish Barrier by replacing a twin box culvert with a bridge, drilled shaft foundations, retaining walls, roadway excavation, channel excavation, embankment compaction, grading, drainage, hot mix asphalt paving, pavements markings, permanent signing, temporary roadway bypass, temporary retaining walls and traffic control. This project will help improve fish habitat in Hedrick Creek by removing an old narrow culvert and replacing it with a new bridge. LDES performed construction surveying for the construction of a new bridge.
